Handbag Hunting - Inspiration

Having just recently started work after 5 years of being a student,  it was very exciting for me to receive my first pay check the other day! I've decided that as a graduation present to myself I would really like to get a nice handbag - something that I can keep for years and that will also remind me of this  exciting time in my life.

I've made a couple of sets on Polyvore for inspiration and thought that I would share them. A lot of these bags are a long way out of the price range that I could justify, but this is really just for inspiration and to get an idea of what I'd like...and there's no harm in looking right?

I can't decide whether I want to go for a black or beige/cream colour, but I do know that whatever I choose it is going to be classic, timeless and something that I can use for years.

My Style Diary - Work Wear (and Happy Valentines Day!)

Hello! Happy Valentines Day! (for yesterday)

This is an outfit I wore to work yesterday. I've just recently finished uni at the end of last year and started work a few weeks ago! It's taken a while for it to sink in that I'm not a student anymore, but I've been really enjoying my new job...and the fact that I can come home and not have to worry about studying for the first time in 5 years!

This white top is so floaty and cool (you may start to notice that I have a bit of a thing for white tops), and I thought I'd add the pink belt to make it just a little bit "Valentines-y".

My boyfriend and I just had a very chilled out night watching Revenge of the Nerds on TV and eating delicious chocolate covered strawberries. They were so yummy and really easy to make so I'm definitely planning on making them more often!

What I'm Wearing...

Pants - French Connection

Top - Harvey Who?

Shoes - From Singapore (really old)

Bag - French Connection

Belt -French Connection

Watch -Thomas Sabo

Bracelets - Pandora and Tiffany & Co

Thank you to Tom for taking the photos! :)

My Style Diary - A simple shorts and t-shirt kind of day

The temperature on the weekend and the past few days has been scorching (reaching into the 40's), so on these kind of days I just like to stay really comfortable and try to stay cool.

I love wearing a white t-shirt and denim shorts any time, but particularly when it gets super hot! It's such a clean, relaxed look and because it's so simple you can do so many different things with your accessories. Here I'm just wearing my white Thomas Sabo watch, some bracelets, a long necklace and a white flower headband. Long necklaces are my favourite way to accessories T-shirts, and I love the pop of colour that my bright pink wallet gives. It was a birthday present from some family friends and I love it so much!

What are your favourite things to wear when the weather heats up?

What I'm Wearing

T-shirt - Mango

Shorts - Zara

Sandals - From Paris

Wallet - Charles and Keith (in Singapore)

Watch - Thomas Sabo

Bracelets - Pandora and from Paris

Necklace - Rapture

Headband - Forever New

My Style Diary - Flirty Florals

I wore this dress a while ago (back in December), for my Uni Dedication Ceremony, but I love it so much and thought it would be a perfect outfit to start off with.

I love the beautiful floral fabric - the colours are gorgeous, and the cut - fitted at the waist with a full, floaty skirt, is my favourite silhouette to wear.

I like to think of it as my "Tea Party Dress", probably partly because the brand it called "Tea Party at Lucy's" - which I think is very appropriate!

These shoes matched the dress perfectly, I love the colour but don't get to wear them very often because they are very uncomfortable!

What I'm Wearing

Dress - Tea Party at Lucy's - teapartyatlucys.bigcartel.com

Shoes - Wittner

Bracelet - Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet

Ring - From San Gimignano in Italy

Hello and Welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to Lauren Loves Laughter!

This blog is going to hopefully have a little of everything - fashion, beauty, food, travel, and basically just anything that makes me smile :)

I've been trying to start this blog for quite some time now, but I just haven't seemed to be able to get into, partly because I think I'm not really fashionable enough to have a fashion blog, partly because of lack of time, and mostly because I tend to get a bit discouraged when I can't get things "perfect" and "professional" looking like so many of the blogs I read are! However... I've decided that this is it - this is the one, I'm just going to go for it!

I hope you enjoy :)
