Hello Hello and Happy Friday!
Today I have a good old fashioned "Style Diary" post to share with you. I haven't been doing as many lately but I loved this particular outfit so much, I had to get a few snaps (even if they were just on my iPhone!)
Wearing floral anything generally makes me feel very happy, but this jumpsuit is a particularly special piece because I actually wore it to my Hen Party and it has such beautiful memories associated with it!
There are so many elements about this jumpsuit that I love - the soft colours, the floral print, the loose flowy pants and the way it crosses over at the back. I love how comfy it is and that the linen fabric means it can also be dressed down and worn more casually (I can just picture it paired with sandals and a denim jacket thrown over the top!)
Being from Zimmermann it was definitely a splurge, but I knew it would be one of those really special pieces I'd have for a long time and wear over and over!
... and I guess that's the beauty of a more minimal wardrobe, buying fewer pieces means you can "invest" (I use that term very loosely) every now and then in a few extra nice ones!
For this occasion I paired the jumpsuit with these pretty pink heels that I wore for our wedding.
They are such beautiful shoes - blush pink with cute floral detailing, but of course, being so high they are ridiculously difficult to walk in! I see them more as works of art though, so even if they don't get much use they still bring me a lot of joy!
(I've been very into The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up recently and trying to Konmari my whole apartment, so the phrase "does it spark joy?" has been getting a lot of use!)
I love how fun and playful this outfit is, and also that it still has a timeless feel to it.
I think the silhouette is very classic, even if the over all style is a little more out there and trend driven!
