Please note - this post has been sponsored by Rellery. I only work with brands I truly love & I’m so excited to be able to collaborate and share them with you!
Hello Hello!
Today I have a fun post to share - we’ll be talking about elevating basic outfits with meaningful, everyday jewellery pieces, and I have a gorgeous new brand I’m excited to introduce you to - Rellery.
They contacted me to ask if I’d like to try out and review a few of their pieces, and have kindly sponsored this blog post. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m very selective with the brands I work with and this is one that fits so well with what I like to share with you here on the blog. I’ve fallen in love with them, and I’m sure you will too!
Rellery are all about creating meaningful pieces that tell a story and can be worn everyday. They are ethically made in the USA using high quality materials that will last!
A Little About Rellery
I’d like to start out by sharing a little about the brand and then I’ll get into how I’ve styled the pieces.
Rellery is a US brand, with all their pieces designed and made in their studio in Rhode Island.
They specialise in personalised pieces made with only precious metals, with no nickel or brass, meaning all their pieces are hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin - something that is particularly important to me.
My ears are picky and get very red and sore with anything other than gold (hence why my earring collection is rather small!) so the fact that Rellery uses either thick 18K gold plated over sterling silver, solid 14K gold or sterling silver for all their pieces is a huge plus for those of us with sensitive skin!
If like me, you’re rather sentimental, the ability to customise their pieces is also a big draw, allowing you to create a super meaningful piece that will become a treasured staple within a jewellery collection.
As a new mum I think this is really special as you can engrave initials, names, dates, anything that is important to you really! For this reason their pieces would make a great gift (and as you can see from the photos they come beautifully wrapped in gorgeous packaging so would be a particularly lovely treat for the recipient to unwrap!)
Elevating Everyday Outfits - How I Styled My Pieces
For both the outfits I’m sharing today I decided to keep things simple and relaxed - they’re the outfits I would wear on repeat because they’re comfy, practical and just easy for everyday wear (plus they’re easy to wash - important as a mum!!)
T-shirts and shorts (or jeans when it’s winter) are a uniform that I love, but they can sometimes feel a little “blah” and boring and like you’re not putting in any effort.
Even though I want to be practical and comfy, the fashion lover in me still likes to feel put together (I’m always after that '“effortlessly stylish” look) and simple jewellery like these beautiful pieces are an easy way to elevate basic clothing and turn it into an actual “outfit”.
I love that Rellery’s pieces are quite minimal and relaxed enough to wear for casual everyday occasions - even just for a walk to the park, and they’re comfy so you can wear them around the house without feeling over the top.
Of course these pieces could be easily dressed up for a more fancy occasion too, but my life these days now that I have a toddler (and for a lot of people currently with the whole Corona virus situation!!!) is mostly spent at home or enjoying more laid back past times, so these pieces are perfect for that.
The Bar Bracelet
The first piece I want to talk about it the “Large bar bracelet” This piece would make such a great gift because it can be personalised in so many ways. I’ve seen examples on Rellery’s instagram of people adding co-ordinates of special locations, initials, song lyrics, names, affirmations… the possibilities are endless and I love that it’s a classic simple style but still really unique because of the personal touch you can add.
I chose to have the word “believe” engraved on my bracelet because the last year I’ve been really working on unblocking and re-writing the subconscious beliefs I have around what’s possible for me in life. I have so many things I want to create and share and for a long time I just discounted them as too far out there or impossible. Of course I still have a lot of work to do, but this bracelet is a great reminder to “believe in the possibility” and keep chipping away at my dreams everyday.
On a side note - I love the work of Lacy Phillips and To Be Magnetic for helping with unblocking limiting subconscious beliefs, raising self-worth and just generally inspiring and helping you create a freaking fab life :) She teaches about manifestation or calling in the things you want, but in a way that makes a lot of sense and isn’t too “woo woo” or airy fairy. I’ll probably do another post all about it soon.
The Spike Drop Huggie Earrings
As I mentioned earlier in the post, when it comes to earrings I’m usually quite limited in my choices (if I don’t want to spend a fortune!) because of my sensitive ears.
Luckily for me Rellery’s earrings are 18K gold over sterling silver so I had my pick and I haven’t had any problems with them irritating my finicky ear lobes!!
I had initially chosen the Lighting Bold earrings as a nod to my love of Harry Potter but as they were sold out at the time, they instead sent me the “Spike Drop” Huggie Earrings which have a similar vibe and that I also really like! They’re a little edgy but still classic, simple and minimal. I love the clean lines and think they fit really well with my style. Maybe not quite as quirky as the lightning bolt ones (I’ll just keep those on my wish list for now!) but still very cool!
I love how they look styled here with a black t-shirt and converse, but with the pale pink shorts still keeping the look quite girlie.
The Dainty Sunflower Necklace
There are so many different flower options to choose from, but I particularly loved the Sunflower Necklace because it sparked a memory of the first flowers Tom gave me (back about 10 years ago when we were 19!) This necklace also comes with a small initial pendant so of course I chose an “R” for Ruby!
Rellery does a larger and a smaller size in their flower necklaces but I think the “Dainty” size is the perfect goldilocks “just-right” size for me. It’s big enough to make a statement but small enough that you can wear it with earrings (or layered with other necklaces) without feeling too much.
The chain has an interesting bauble detail that I think is so fun and unique (you know I’m all about the tiny details) and the length can be adjusted which will make it perfect for layering too.
The pendants have a decent weight to them (while still being light and comfy) so feel really good quality, and I like that the loop connecting them to the necklace is big enough so they can be removed - therefore allowing complete customisability (is that a word?! you know what I mean - it just makes it much more versatile and gives you more styling options!)
I love the look of a simple gold necklace worn with a black top like I’ve shown above - it just really pops against the black, but is also obviously really pretty with basically any colour.
I’ve styled it here with a simple white t-shirt and my daisy-embroidered shorts (continuing on the flower theme) and I think it really adds to an otherwise basic outfit.
This necklace is also the perfect length to wear with button down tops and you’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of it as I’ve been wearing it non-stop since it arrived!
All three of these pieces are made from 18K gold plated over sterling silver and are a beautiful soft gold colour that goes with everything, but if you’re a silver wearer they come in silver too!
They seem to be great quality so I’m looking forward to wearing them often and hopefully they really will last the distance. So far the chain has been strong enough to withstand curious toddler hands, so we’ll see how it goes!!
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this post and gotten some styling ideas and inspiration to jazz up your everyday outfits, as well as added a new brand to your list if you’re searching for a special gift (or just wanting to treat yourself!)
I’ve been really happy with the quality of these pieces and look forward to wearing them for years to come.
Let me know in a comment below or over on Instagram @laurennatalia.co if you have a favourite piece or which look you liked the best! I would love to know which pieces catch your attention!
Lots of Love
Lauren
