What to pack in your hospital bag (from a second time mum) Australian

Hi guys!

Hopefully this blog post and video will be helpful if you're pregnant and in the process of packing your hospital bag!

I know I watched and read so many of these when I was packing for my first baby, and now, for baby number two, I feel have a much better idea of the things I will and won't need to bring!

This should give you some idea of what you will actually use and although it's not a "minimalist" kinda hospital bag, I don't think it's excessive - just the basics with a few extra comforts thrown in for good measure!

Just for a bit of context - I'm going through the private hospital system here in Perth, Western Australia. Every hospital will be a bit different, but mine suggests bringing two separate bags - one small one just for labour, and the other to leave in the car and bring up to the ward later…

Hello Hello!

Long time no blogging, but I’m back today with a spring/summer fashion haul video, sharing some of the basic, staple pieces that I've recently purchased to update my capsule wardrobe!

We are well into summer in Australia now so I'm a little late posting this (I actually filmed it about 2 months ago!) but better late than never right?!

These are all really versatile clothing items that can be dressed up and down and have become core pieces in my wardrobe that I’ve been wearing on repeat. As you know, I'm all about curating a versatile, intentional closet and being more mindful when it comes to my purchases, so rather than encouraging you to just go out and buy a bunch of things that I'm showing, hopefully this small haul can inspire and help you to be a bit more thoughtful about your shopping and really consider how the new items will work with your existing wardrobe.

I'm sharing some pieces from Zara, Sportsgirl, Kmart and Dotti today and for once they are current items that are still available so I’ve been able to link them below if you’d like to check them out yourself!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing some of the beautiful new pieces I've picked up. Even if you're not in the market for new clothes hopefully this will give you some ideas on how you can style the pieces you already own!

Today I’m sharing 9 tips to help you get out of a style rut! There’s a video to go along with this one, if you’d prefer to watch rather than read!

If you’re anything like me, the colder weather can really stifle the enjoyment of choosing what to wear in the morning (I just don’t want to get out of my warm cozy trackies). Combine that with the the fact that a lot of us are still likely staying home a lot due to Covid, lacking time due to life being crazy, or just have other more important priorities (as in my case with an adorable little 10 month old!), it can be very easy to slip into a rut of wearing the same thing over and over again, and just feeling a bit “blah” when it comes to your wardrobe and the way you’re dressing.

I’m obviously not saying there is anything wrong with outfit repeating - as you know I’m a big fan of “uniforms” and capsule wardrobes and am always aiming get heaps of wear from my clothes!

I’m talking about the times when you’re just feeling really bored, un-motivated, exhausted and un-inspired by your wardrobe and nothing seems to be making you feel good.

I’ve been there lately and thought I would share a few of the tips I used to find my way out of that style rut and feel more excited by what I’m wearing!

So you’re in the first trimester and you already have a noticeable baby bump? Or maybe you’re well into the second trimester and you’re just not quite ready to tell people yet… Whatever the reason for wanting to keep your pregnancy under wraps, I hope this post, sharing 8 style tips to hide a baby bump can help you out!

With these tricks I managed to disguise my bump at work up until 22 weeks - almost 5 months pregnant! In the video and photos I’m 20 weeks and although it was definitely getting harder to hide towards the end, most of my work colleagues were super surprised when I announced, so these tips really do work! (Particularly if you’re showing a bit early and just want to keep things quiet until you’re out of the first trimester… most people don’t hide it for as long as I did!!)

These tips can also come in handy if you’re looking for flattering ways to dress when you're postpartum (because your belly will still be quite big for a while!), feeling bloated or if you're ever just feeling self conscious of your tummy!
