So the title of this post says it all... on the 11th November, Tom and I got married!!
It really was the most amazingly magical day that was more than I'd even imagined it could be. On our invitations we'd asked guests to "join us for a celebration of love, laughter, friendship and family" and it truly was an incredible celebration of all those wonderful things!

For the next instalment in my "Wardrobe Staples" series I'm going to be talking all about Gingham. While this print is seriously on-trend at the moment, it's one that I have loved for years (and I'm ecstatic that it's now so much easier to find!)
Although it may - to some - have an association with picnic rugs and table cloths, I really feel that it's a truly classic print, and if you choose the right piece it will become a true wardrobe staple that can be worn for years to come.
Today I'm starting a little series where each week I'll be talking about a staple piece in my wardrobe. I love the whole "Capsule Wardrobe" concept, but as someone with quite a playful style, I do find that sometimes the standard "staples" can get a little boring. I thought I'd share my own staples with you, to show that a more minimal wardrobe doesn't have to be boring! If your style is a little on the quirkier side, if you love colour and are wondering how to make it work in a capsule wardrobe, or even if you're just a little bored of your regular, "safe" staples then this series will be for you!

Today I'm sharing a few books (as well as a magazine) that I've been reading during my wedding planning. There is so much amazing inspiration and information available online, but sometimes the craziness of Pinterest. the constant scrolling through Instagram and the huge array of wedding blogs to choose from can become a little overwhelming. Sometimes you need to step away from the digital world and there is something so nice (and much more relaxing) about holding a physical book in your hands.
These books are absolutely beautiful, but are also filled with well curated information that I found to actually be very helpful in my planning. As well as just making gorgeous coffee table decor ;). While you could get by just fine without them, if you're a book lover like myself, picking up one of these is a real treat and they've definitely inspired me during my planning! (7 weeks to go now!!!)
