As I mentioned in my Esperance Travel Guide, I very much enjoyed staying at Esperance Chalet Village and wanted to give this place a full post to itself because I couldn't recommend it more highly. Set on a beautiful property, just out of town, there are a number of chalets and cabins of varying sizes that can accommodate from 2 to 5 guests. Quiet, private and serene but also only a short drive to town and a great base to explore from.
We stayed in one of the larger chalets - # 1 - and loved it so much. Slightly rustic, beautifully styled, with white washed walls (you know I'm a sucker for white interiors) and a staircase up to the loft area which was the location of the most cozy, comfy bed I have ever slept in. I'm not sure what it was but with a mattress that you just sank into, fluffy pillows, lovely white blankets and sheets and a beautiful canopy hanging over the bed, it was just heavenly. Apologies if I'm gushing about the place too much, but it really was so lovely! On our last night, there was a thunderstorm and it was so nice just snuggling into that cozy bed listening to the rain and watching through the window as lightning lit up the sky.
Downstairs was a simple little living area, styled with a gorgeous marble topped table and leather upholstered chairs. Perfect for sitting at and chilling out with a cup of tea while looking out onto the grass and trees. The kitchen area was well equipped for simple meals (although admittedly the most I did was chop up tomatoes to have on my toast!) and there was a barbecue right outside too.
The bathroom, though a little older looking was nice and clean with a good strong shower (always a plus). The one downside was the shower did leak a little making the rest of the floor a little wet (but that was probably my fault to be honest!) and really nothing to complain about! Just making sure I give a thorough review!
As well as being a beautiful place to stay, the owner Fiona was so friendly and welcomed us with a bottle of rosé and sent me a text message with a nice long list of food suggestions and things to do. Don't you just love when people are nice? It makes the whole experience that much better!
As you can tell I'd highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning someday!
So... have I tempted you to take a trip to Esperance? Let me know in the comments or come say hi on Instagram (@laurennatalia29) ... and don't forget to check out the Esperance Travel Guide post if you missed it!
Lots of Love
