We’re back with Episode 2 of “Cooking With Nonna” and today Nonna is showing you how to make her delicious lasagne!
In Episode 1, we showed you how to make the fresh pasta and bolognese sauce and today is all about using the same ingredients and putting them together as a lasagna!
Nonna has some great little nuggets of wisdom to share so I hope you enjoy the video!
(My Nonno also makes a special appearance towards the end, so stay tuned for some rather amusing outtakes!)
As you may have noticed from the last video, Nonna doesn’t really follow a set recipe when it comes to measuring everything out - “it all depends!”
To make these two lasagne she used approximately 1 Kg Flour, 8 eggs, a cup of water and 2 pinches of salt.
That made 16 sheets of pasta and she used 8 sheets for each lasagna. There was a little left over as well which she cut up and turned into tagliatelle which we ate for lunch!
For the bolognese sauce, she made roughly the same amount as last time (and watered it down a little), also adding about 2 cups of peas. You can add mushrooms too if you like!
