Hello hello!
Hyde Park is a very well loved photography location here in Perth, and I think autumn may just be my favourite season to take photos there. I love all the the beautiful golden brown colours, and it is always so fun for the kiddies to play in the crunchy leaves!
I thought I would share a few photos I took of my own kiddies in Hyde Park last year, as they are some of my absolute faves. Throwing leaves is always a hit with the little ones, and pretty much guarantees some fun happy expressions!
Aside from the smiles and really sweet moments, I think another part of why I love these photos so much is because of the colour combinations. I love the pink and white against the autumn backdrop, and the soft colours really help with the “light and airy” style that you may have noticed I’m a fan of :p
Fun fact - Ruby actually chose her full outfit for these (she’s a bit obsessed with pink… not sure if it’s nature or nurture :p). Her cute little pinafore is from Seed Heritage - they always have the cutest clothes!
If you’re wanting a similar vibe for your own photos but you’re not into pink, pale blue would also look really lovely against the browny orange leaves!
It’s so interesting how much outfit choices can change the feel of your photos. When I’m giving outfit advice to clients I always say there’s no right or wrong - it really just depends on what you love and what look you are going for, but there are definitely some tips to follow if you’re wanting the light and airy look you see in these pics or on my instagram (I’m planning to share another post on this soon!)
I have a really beautiful autumn maternity session to share soon too, where Mum was wearing a stunning red dress. The photos are a totally different vibe to what you see here in this post but equally beautiful. (You can find a pic in this instagram highlight if you’d like a sneak peak!)
