Today I’m sharing a review of a super cute baby brand I’ve recently discovered and completely fallen in love with!
My Little Love Heart sell stylish baby bibs and accessories that are designed and made right here in Perth.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I love supporting local businesses, so when Luisa, the owner and designer of My Little Love Heart got in touch and asked if I would like to try out a few of her pieces, I was so excited and happy to have found another lovely Perth-based baby brand!
My Little Love Heart was born when Luisa noticed there was a real need for stylish and absorbent burp cloths and bibs. Her baby had bad reflux and they would go through so many bibs everyday, but she couldn’t find any decent ones, so, using her fashion design background she decided to make her own!
Her designs are so cute but most importantly functional! There are so many fun fabrics to choose from - bright colours and patterns, but also more neutral tones too if that’s your preference, so there really is something for everyone.
I chose the Large Koala Bib - it’s such a pretty fabric and so well made. The bigger size is perfect for Ruby now that she’s one (always good to have more coverage!!) but they also have smaller sized bibs which would be great for newborns/younger babies.
It has a terry towel backing which makes it nice and absorbent (nothing worse than a bib that doesn’t actually do anything!) and also has an adjustable popper fastening which is great because it can’t be pulled off (Ruby has now realised that she can pull off her bib if it has a velcro fastening!) It also washes really well - we actually got bolognese sauce on it the other day and with the help of a little napisan it came right out!
We also tried out one of the Bunny Teething Rings in the Koala print to match her bib and so far that has been a hit! I think this would be such a lovely pairing if you’re looking to give a gift to a new mum and baby - bibs and teethers always come in so handy. As any mum will know - you can never have enough bibs!!)
They also make adorable baby hair accessories - headbands, bows and top knots which are just so cute! I chose this lovely pink Top Knot but unfortunately couldn’t get any photos of it on, as Ruby kept pulling it off her head (she’s at that stage… we’re also struggling with getting her to keep her hat on at the moment!)
Hopefully she’ll get over it soon because I do love the look of babies in bows :p
Speaking of taking photos - I actually chose the koala print because Ruby has a toy koala (named Koko) and I thought it would be so cute to have a photo of her in the bib while holding her koala… but as it turns out, she seems to be a little bit scared of her at the moment and didn’t want her too close!! haha! Babies are just so funny sometimes!
So that’s it for my review of My Little Love Heart. I’m so happy to have been able to introduce this lovely baby brand to you and would highly recommend you go check out their website! It’s also so nice to be able to support a local small business - especially at times like this! I’ll definitely be keeping them in mind for gifts in the future (or just as a treat for myself and Ruby!)
