Hi friends!
Today I want to introduce you to an Australian jewellery brand - YCL Jewels, that I have fallen head over heels in love with.
I discovered them a couple of years ago and completely adore their beautiful designs, as well as their brand ethos. They’re all about mindful, intentional design and creating responsibly made pieces that you will love and wear for years to come.
Pretty much exactly the kind of thing that I harp on about all the time here on my blog!
Since discovering them, I’ve been slowly adding a few of their beautiful pieces to my collection and have been so impressed by the quality as well as how easy they are to pair with so many different outfits.
YCL has a “Core Collection” of staple pieces that come in gold and silver (obviously I’m a gold fan!) and they also release different collections throughout the year.)
The gold pieces are made from 14k gold fill (meaning the layer of gold is thicker), so they’re more durable than something that is simply gold plated and only has a thin layer of gold. Perfect for a piece you plan on wearing for years!
I’ve actually purchased a few more of their designs since taking these photos so will have to do an update post soon, but for now I’ll talk through the styles that you see photographed.
Infinite Choker and Ascended Necklace
The first pieces I purchased were from their Core Collection - the “Infinite Choker” and the “Ascended Necklace”. These two pieces layer together perfectly and look gorgeous on their own too. They are such classic, delicate designs that go with everything.
I love the simplicity of the Infinite Choker with its textured circle pendant, and the Ascended Necklace has a beautiful sparkle when the light reflects off the delicate discs.
For such small, delicate necklaces I actually get so many compliments whenever I wear them and it’s a great example of how little touches (even just small details) can really finish off an outfit!
Her Canvas Necklace
The next piece I added to my collection was the “Her Canvas” necklace from the Vedere Collection (“vedere” means “to see”). It has a beautiful pendant with a star-burst like design (at least that’s what it looks like to me) on a twisted chain that really glistens when the light hits it.
Their packaging is minimal and beautiful, always including a few rose petals and a little rose quartz crystal which adds such a special touch! I think they’d make a really lovely gift!
So that’s my little review. I like the idea of doing dedicated posts to introduce you to brands I really love, so hopefully you’ve enjoyed this!
Let me know if you check them out and what your favourite pieces are! Leave me a comment below or come say hi on Instagram @laurennatalia.co
I also love following YCL Jewels over on their Instagram @ycljewels, as well as the brand founder Fabienne @fabiene.ycl :)
