When it comes to buying baby things and preparing for the arrival of your new bub, it’s very easy to go overboard (particularly when you’re a first time parent!) so I thought I would share my list of the newborn must-haves that we found the most useful when our little Ruby was a newborn.
These are the “essentials” we used almost every single day for at least the first 3 months and that made our lives so much easier as we navigated the new world of parenthood and sleep deprivation (with all it’s amazing ups and downs!)
I’ve tried to keep this list to the basics (because some I’ve seen are quite overwhelming!) but have still included a few of those “extra” things that you could probably manage without, but that just make things a lot easier when you’re adjusting to life with a tiny little person!
If you’re pregnant and trying to figure out what you will actually need and use - I hope this list can help you out. Obviously every baby will be a bit different, but these are all items I would highly recommend to friends and that were totally worth it for us!

Today I’m excited to share a little peak into the hen party I threw for my bestie a few weeks ago! The bride-to-be, Emily, wasn’t keen on what you might traditionally think of when planning a bachelorette party (and to be honest, that’s not really my style either) so I decided to go with an elegant and classy picnic, with delicious food and some fun games!
It was such a lovely, relaxed afternoon and I think it turned out to be a big success (if I do say so myself! haha :p)
Enjoy the photos and if you happen to be planning a hen party, particularly one that’s more on the classy side, I hope this can give you some ideas and inspiration (no strippers of penis paraphernalia in sight!)

Hello Hello!
It has been weeks and weeks since my last post and I have been seriously missing blogging, but life with a newborn can get a little crazy (in a wonderfully chaotic and magical way!) so there hasn’t been a lot of time to sit and tap away at my laptop unfortunately!
Soaking up all the time with her as well as snatching short stretches of sleep whenever possible has been taking precedence the past few weeks, but tonight Ruby’s asleep a bit earlier and I’m feeling pretty good so I figured I may as well take just a little time to share these outfit photos.
Adjusting to life as a mumma has meant a lot of time spent at home, often in my trackies, so I’ve not been wearing the most interesting clothes, but every now and then it’s nice to dress up a little and feel a bit more like myself (wearing jeans now counts as “dressing up” for me lol).

I have another video today - this time sharing a clothing and accessories haul featuring pieces from some of my favourite brands such as Sportsgirl, Zimmerman and YCL Jewels.
While I still generally subscribe to a "Capsule Wardrobe" approach, I do of course enjoy adding a few new pieces to my wardrobe every now and then and I always try to be really mindful and make sure the pieces I buy are ones I'm going to love for years to come! (Sounds simple, but in today's consumerist world it's easy to convince ourselves we want something only to tire of it within a few weeks!)
