Hello hello!
It’s Day 2 of the #StayHomeReady challenge (created by @iamjoellen) that I’m participating in over on Instagram (see yesterday’s post for more info about it) and today I thought I’d pull on my beloved overalls.
I’m probably sounding like a broken record by now when it comes to talking about my love for overalls, but they really are such a fun and super easy way to make you feel a bit more stylish and like you’ve put a bit of effort in (when you really haven’t). I think it’s to do with the fact that they’re a bit quirky and not something that you see everyone wearing, so they feel quite unique and “fashion-y”.
They’re definitely not for everybody, but for me they epitomise what I like my style to be - effortless, classic (okay, the “classic” part is questionable but for me they are!), and playful - my 3 guiding words!
I think they’re also a really great piece for mum’s because they give you a bit of variety instead of just the typical jeans or shorts while still being breastfeeding friendly!
I usually throw them on with a t-shirt but today I thought I’d pair them with this white lace detailed top and I love the look! I actually took Ruby out to King’s park today and we had a little picnic (we’re still lucky enough to be able to do that here in Perth - as long as it’s respecting social distancing etc) and it was so nice to get out and do something a bit different! She loved it and had so much fun looking around - we even saw some ducks!
As always, I hope everyone’s doing okay with the isolation/social distancing and that this has been able to provide at least a little escapism for you! (That’s always what blogs were for me when I first discovered them- my escape while I was studying!!)
