Hello hello!
So it’s Day 3 of the #stayhomeready style challenge over on insta (see the first post for more info on it) and I have to say, I have noticed such a difference in how I’ve been feeling!
I was a bit “blah” when I woke up this morning (Ruby didn’t sleep the best… although I’m hoping it’s a one off, she’d had a pretty good run the past few days til last night!) but figured I’d take a few extra minutes to do my hair and pop a little makeup on, and it immediately lifted my spirits!
For today’s outfit I threw on this plaid peplum top with navy jeans, and this dusky pink hat and converse when we went out for a walk.
I don’t often think to wear this top at home or on the weekends because it’s usually one of my “work tops”, but I’m trying to stay away of my typical jeans and t-shirt look for this challenge and it was fun to dress it down with converse and add a fun hat :)
Do you have specific “work clothes” and “weekend clothes” too or do you just wear things interchangeably? All my “work tops” are really versatile and can be worn casually too (lets be honest, I dress pretty casually for work pretty much all the time anyway) but so often I don’t think to wear them outside of work!
Another reason I haven’t worn this top in a while is because I got a little sick of it last year after wearing it constantly while I was still keeping my pregnancy a secret! (Check out this post if you’d like a few pointers on how to hide a baby bump!) I love capsule wardrobes and repeating outfits, but I just needed a little break from this one for a while! Happy to say I’ve fallen back in love with it again though!
Today was just another normal #isolife day but Ruby had a good nap this morning so it felt really productive. I managed to cook dinner, do laundry, take these blog photos and do a little tidy up all before 12pm! (For those who aren’t mum’s that doesn’t sound like much but your idea of “productivity” changes a lot when you have a little one! :p
I’m going to leave it at that for today! Ruby’s asleep and I should probably get to bed too!
I’m really enjoying sharing these quick outfit posts on the blog everyday! Reminds me of the old days of blogging when things were a little less polished and just more personal and relaxed! I do have a lot of other more informative posts that I want to write too, but they take a bit more focus and my sleep deprived brain doesn’t always have the capacity for that at the moment! Hopefully you can get a little outfit inspiration from these Style Diary posts though!
As always I hope you’re keeping as well as possible during this time!
Leave me a comment or come say hi on Instagram @laurennatalia.co and let me know what you’ve been up to lately!
Sending you lots of love!
Lauren
