My Style Diary - By the Olive Trees

Hello there!

This is another outfit I wore last weekend while I was in Margaret River. It's typical "Lauren" - comfy and cozy. This was the first time I'd had a chance to wear this scarf which I found at the Markets when I was in Cambridge last year. I really like the bird print (I think they might be swallows?) and it brings back so many good memories of the day I bought it. It's funny how clothing can do that - have so many memories attached!

 I hope you're having a lovely Sunday!

What I'm Wearing

Top - United Colors of Benetton

Jeans - Calvin Klein

Shoes - All Saints

Scarf - Markets in Cambridge

My Style Diary - A Relaxing Weekend :)

Hello :)

So, tonight didn't exactly go as planned... I was going to have a really chilled out night, watch a movie and go to sleep early (my normal boring routine that I was actually really looking forward to!). But instead, I got roped into playing indoor soccer! Anyone who know's me, know's that I am not a sporty person. I'm okay with things involving my own body - dance...skiing...rollerblading. As soon as you add a ball - not good! I think this is partly because I had a bad experience with a softball (that was in no way soft) hitting me in the face  when I was younger. Anyway, my friend called me up (after calling everybody in his contacts list) and begged me to play, otherwise they would have to forfeit. After much persuasion I reluctantly agreed... and you know what? It was actually quite fun! Luckily for me, it was soccer, and out of all the team sports, it would have to be my favourite - because you don't have to catch or throw!

Anyway, seeing as I ended up enjoyed myself after being so grumpy about having to go and play,  I've had a realisation. I've been really close minded lately when it comes to trying new things, and getting into a bit of a rut. I really just need to get out and be more sociable and get involved in more things. I'm only 22 for goodness sakes...and sometimes I act like a 62 year old! When I was still studying, there were so many things I said I was going to do once I finished uni, and so far I haven't really done any of them. But I'm going to get started!

Back to the pictures. I took these photos this past weekend while I was in Margaret River with my Dad, Uncle, Grandparents and Tom. We had a really nice weekend going for walks through the bush, having lunch at Saracen Winery, visiting a Meadery and the Olive Oil Factory... I find it's just so relaxing going down south, the bush is so peaceful and calming, and it was great to have a different setting for photos!

My Style Diary - Off to the Movies

Hello :)

Today I went to see "The Host" with one of my friends. I'd read the book by Stephanie Meyer quite some time ago and really enjoyed it, but wasn't sure how they would go adapting it for the screen. I actually think they did a really good job, although my friend, who had read the book more recently, said there were some discrepancies. Regardless, it was a very enjoyable afternoon. I love it when movies suck you in and can just make you forget about your own life...if only for a little while.

Anyway, I was feeling super girly today. I don't normally go for these kind of corset tops, but I quite like how it looks with the skirt. Usually I only wear it with jeans, so it was good for a bit of a change. I'm trying to be more adventurous!

What I'm Wearing

Top - Forever New

Skirt - Jeans West

Bag - Jigsaw

Shoes - Wittner

My Style Diary - Waiting for Autumn

Hello

I'm feeling really exhausted and grumpy tonight for some reason. I'm usually a pretty happy person, but the past week I've just been feeling really down. I wasn't going to write anything to go along with this post, but I've been reading Lauren's blog from Someone Like You, and she's always so honest and open about what's going on in her life that she inspired me to do the same. When I think about what I want to do with my blog, it makes sense. I started this blog because I thought it would be a fun way to record my outfits. I'm by no means a very 'stylish' or 'trendy' person, but I do really enjoy fashion, and it's nice to have a sort of 'diary' of my personal style. I want it to be a bit more than that though, so I might be including a bit more of "my thoughts" into posts. This is purely for me though, so that I can have a record of what's been happening in my life. If you just want to look at the pictures and comment about the fashion, I am perfectly happy about that!

Anyway, onto the outfit...

Today started off cool but warmed up really quickly so I didn't get to wear my jumper for long.  We're apparently having one of the hottest April's on record, and it's still feeling a lot like summer.I wish it would start to cool down just a little bit so I can start wearing some more Autumn-y clothes! As you may have noticed, I am kind of in love with these boots...and my necklace...and my bag. This is always the case with me - I have my favourites that I love that I wear over and over again, neglecting all the other things in my wardrobe! (Another example is my nail polish. I have so many other colours to choose from, but I just keep going back to this one!) Oh well... at least I know what I like!

I hope you're having a great night

PS - Thank you for the sweet comments. I wasn't really expecting anyone to want to follow my blog, (and my blog was originally just going to be private), so it was a nice surprise :)

My Style Diary - My favourite dress

Hello

I hope you're having a lovely Sunday (I'm really talking to myself seeing as I don't think anyone actually reads this blog! But that's okay :)

Today I went out for coffee with some girl friends which was lovely. Looking through my past posts it really seems like all I do is go out for brunch/lunch/dinner etc with friends...but I promise I do actually work! I just don't post any outfit pictures for that because my work clothes aren't particularly exciting.

Anywho, I felt like being girly today, so I wore my favourite flowery dress. I was looking through my jewellery box and came across this ring. I've had this since I was about 5 or 6, but lost it in the garden one day and couldn't find it despite my searches. Miraculously, years later it just turned up! Funny how things happen like that.

What I'm Wearing

Dress -

Tea Party At Lucy's

Sandals - from Paris

Belt - My Mum's

Watch - Thomas Sabo

Bracelets - Pandora and from China

Bag - Jigsaw

Lots of love
