My Style Diary - Out to Dinner in a Red Dress

So here's yet another new dress purchase! I bought this dress on the same day as the one in my previous post and I absolutely love it (but I promise that I'm now on a shopping ban!) The cut is so flattering with the wide fitted band 'round the waist and the full skirt, and I love the red colour. Red isn't a colour that appears very often in my wardrobe so it's nice for a bit of a change! The cut outs at the back add an interesting touch too.

I almost didn't buy this, but the thing that really sold me was the fact that it can so easily be dressed up or down. From a nice dinner, to work, to just a relaxed day with friends I can see this dress getting a lot of use!

For a dinner out with my family to celebrate my graduation I decided to pair it with these adorable bow heels that I picked up in London and some dangly earrings. I think it's safe to say that there will be many different outfit posts with this dress in the future!

My Style Diary - Crazy Colours for Brunch with the Girls

Hello :) Today I had a lovely morning catching up with my best friends over brunch. They've been really busy lately with uni so it was nice to be able to sit down for a few hours and have a good chat!

I decided I wanted to dress up a bit this morning so I wore this super colourful dress I bought the other day. (I've developed a bit of a shopping problem now that I've started working and I think I need to impose a ban on myself...for a few weeks at least!). The bright colours are so summery and cheerful and I thought I'd better make the most of the warm weather that we have left.

As you can probably tell, these are my favourite wedges, they are the most comfortable heels I own and I can actually walk in them! Usually I feel too over the top wearing heels (even if they are wedges) during the day, but I've decided that from now on I'm not going to care about what other people think - if I feel like dressing up then I'll dress up!

I've been looking for a plaid shirt like this for quite some time but never seemed to be able to find one that was really "me". I just happened to come across this one the other day at Cotton On and fell in love with the colour scheme and the relaxed feel of it. It's a lovely soft cotton, breezy and cool and just the kind of colours that I gravitate towards. It was perfect for a relaxing day catching up with friends and then heading to the beach for an evening picnic to celebrate my best friends 23rd birthday!

Second post for the day! This is what I wore today just hanging out with my boyfriend. I've had this dress for years and it's one of my favourites. It's held up really well considering that it was from Cotton On and cost about $15 if I remember correctly! They have some great dresses if you take the time to hunt :)

My Style Diary - You were my first friend

Hello :) So here's yet another outfit of the day post (from last week!). A very simple and comfy outfit but made a bit more interesting with some fun accessories. I love my owl ring which was a Christmas present from a few years back. Owl accessories or prints seem to be everywhere at the moment, and this one is so cute :). I also decided to add a pop of colour with a red lip and finally had a chance to try out this teal coloured nail polish. It's an awesome colour but can be a bit hard to co-ordinate with!

Anyway, that's it for now. I think I'm going to try and do a few more posts today and then catch up on some Vampire Diaries tonight! It's been very strange not being at uni anymore! Usually Saturdays were always dedicated to study but now it's like "...hmmm I've done all my jobs around the house...now what?" (I've spent a rather large part of the afternoon watching youtube videos actually!)
