My Style Diary - Waiting for Autumn

Hello

I'm feeling really exhausted and grumpy tonight for some reason. I'm usually a pretty happy person, but the past week I've just been feeling really down. I wasn't going to write anything to go along with this post, but I've been reading Lauren's blog from Someone Like You, and she's always so honest and open about what's going on in her life that she inspired me to do the same. When I think about what I want to do with my blog, it makes sense. I started this blog because I thought it would be a fun way to record my outfits. I'm by no means a very 'stylish' or 'trendy' person, but I do really enjoy fashion, and it's nice to have a sort of 'diary' of my personal style. I want it to be a bit more than that though, so I might be including a bit more of "my thoughts" into posts. This is purely for me though, so that I can have a record of what's been happening in my life. If you just want to look at the pictures and comment about the fashion, I am perfectly happy about that!

Anyway, onto the outfit...

Today started off cool but warmed up really quickly so I didn't get to wear my jumper for long.  We're apparently having one of the hottest April's on record, and it's still feeling a lot like summer.I wish it would start to cool down just a little bit so I can start wearing some more Autumn-y clothes! As you may have noticed, I am kind of in love with these boots...and my necklace...and my bag. This is always the case with me - I have my favourites that I love that I wear over and over again, neglecting all the other things in my wardrobe! (Another example is my nail polish. I have so many other colours to choose from, but I just keep going back to this one!) Oh well... at least I know what I like!

I hope you're having a great night

PS - Thank you for the sweet comments. I wasn't really expecting anyone to want to follow my blog, (and my blog was originally just going to be private), so it was a nice surprise :)

My Style Diary - My favourite dress

Hello

I hope you're having a lovely Sunday (I'm really talking to myself seeing as I don't think anyone actually reads this blog! But that's okay :)

Today I went out for coffee with some girl friends which was lovely. Looking through my past posts it really seems like all I do is go out for brunch/lunch/dinner etc with friends...but I promise I do actually work! I just don't post any outfit pictures for that because my work clothes aren't particularly exciting.

Anywho, I felt like being girly today, so I wore my favourite flowery dress. I was looking through my jewellery box and came across this ring. I've had this since I was about 5 or 6, but lost it in the garden one day and couldn't find it despite my searches. Miraculously, years later it just turned up! Funny how things happen like that.

What I'm Wearing

Sandals - from Paris

My Style Diary - Black and White

I took these photos last weekend before going out to the city with friends. I almost wasn't going to post these because they're not particularly good quality (it's so hard taking good photos at night!), but I figured that I may as well. This blog is a kind of photo diary for me, and all the pictures bring back memories of what I was doing that day/night, so I wanted to include these.

The heels I'm wearing are actually my sister's. I love the unique design and they're actually not too uncomfortable (but of course, being me, I still decided to change into flats at the last minute! I'm so boring). I've had this white top for about 2 months now and wear it so much. Surprisingly it hasn't appeared in any outfit photos yet.

Anyway, I'm off to sleep now. Goodnight

Love Lauren

My Style Diary - Pink and Khaki

Hello :)

I'm sitting here with my cup of tea and feeling very relaxed at the moment. Tonight my dad fired up the pizza oven and we had home made pizza for dinner which was delicious (and fun to make!)

This is what I wore to the movies last night with Tom. I was going to dress up a bit more, but as often happens I just ended up in shorts. They're just the most comfortable thing :). We don't go to the movies very often with just the two of us, mainly because it's so expensive, and because it can sometimes be a bit of a struggle finding one we both want to watch!

We decided on "Hyde Park on Hudson", which was the story of the relationship between Franklin Roosevelt and his distant cousin Daisy. It was a reasonably good movie with some rather funny moments. Tom and I both agreed we'd probably give it a 3.5 out of 5. There's a review

here

if you're interested. Anyway, after the movie we headed back to Tom's house and once again spent the rest of the night watching Gilmore Girls. We're slowly working through them all! :)

Hope you're having a great night

Love Lauren
