Hello!
A bit of a combination post today - sharing a few outfit photos and some snaps of the beautiful Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney!
I feel like my bump suddenly grew over night after I announced the news, just before we left for our trip to Sydney (and it’s even bigger now!!) but I’m quite enjoying the challenge of dressing in a new way to flatter my tummy, while still staying true to my own style.
I think the fact that I’ve spent so many years playing around with capsule wardrobes, figuring out my signature style and what I love to wear has really helped me to continue feeling good and enjoy the challenge of dressing my changing shape!
(No “I have nothing to wear” breakdowns have happened just yet! haha)
Normally I would never wear a dress this fitted, but I actually really love the look now that I’m pregnant! This Kookai dress is super comfy and stretchy, and it’s a really thick fabric which makes it a lot more flattering (hiding the lumps and bumps you don’t want seen!)
It’s a pretty heathered grey colour which makes it really versatile too!
When it comes to pregnancy style, I’ve found that fitted is much more flattering (for me at least!) as it actually shows off the bump rather than hiding it, and doesn’t make me feel/look bigger than I actually am!
It was a pretty chilly day in Sydney (so windy!) so I threw on my trusty grey coat, my black boots and this tie-dye scarf. As usual when it comes to leggings, I wore my Lulu Lemon “Align Pants” which are super stretchy and will hopefully fit through the whole pregnancy! I’m really weird when it comes to leggings because I actually used to think they were really uncomfortable (and would always choose jeans over them!) but since trying these Lulu lemon ones, I’m now a leggings convert!
It was a comfy a cute outfit perfect for a day spent strolling around The Grounds of Alexandria appreciating all the beautiful features they have to see there - the flower market, The Aladdin themed walkway and of course the beautiful fountain and garden area!
You can check out my Where To Eat In Sydney post if you’d like to read more about the delicious food we had and see some more photos of the restaurant!
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed the photos!
Lots of Love
Lauren
