My Style Diary - A Bright Summer Dress To Lift The Spirits, Honest Thoughts and A Reminder To Do Something For Yourself This Weekend

December 18, 2020 Lauren Natalia
IMG_2265.JPG

Hello hello and happy Saturday!

Sharing this summery outfit today which is kind of funny because as I’m sitting typing this it’s actually pouring with rain and we seem to have reverted back to winter here in Perth!

Ah well - the warm weather will be with us soon enough.

I’m very much looking forward to getting a chance to wear my summer dresses soon as I didn’t really get a chance to last year (dresses sadly aren’t very breastfeeding friendly!)

Here’s one of my favourites that you will recognise if you’ve been a long time blog reader. It’s my super bright “feel good” dress that I’ve had for years and that is perfect to throw on whenever I need a pep up! Something small to lift my spirits when things are feeling overwhelming or just too much - it’s hard to feel bad when you’re wearing such a pretty, fun dress (and the gorgeous summery weather helps too)

On this particular day it was super hot and we were going for a walk so I threw on this pink linen shirt and my straw hat for a little sun protection, and I really like how it all looks together! Just goes to show, no matter how old a piece is you can always find fun new ways to style it that will make it feel fresh and new!

Mama and Mini Style: Co-ordinating in White, Blue and Grey (and a reminder to never compare Your Motherhood Experience!)

September 19, 2020 Lauren Natalia

Today I have another “Mama and Mini” Style Diary to share with you - not matching this time but definitely a co-ordinated one!

This adorable little pinafore was one of the first pieces I bought for Ruby and she finally fits into it! To be honest, she’s probably fit it for a while, but I’ve learnt since having a baby that the clothes that get the most wear tend to be the super comfy ones - trackies, leggings etc, so her special outfits don’t actually get a whole lot of use!

Mum and Bub Feel Good Morning Routine & Ideas For Entertaining A 6 Month Old Baby!

March 28, 2020 Lauren Natalia
Mum and Bub Feel good morning routine 2.png

Hi Friends!

With all the craziness going on in the world right now, I thought I would try and provide a little positivity and escape by sharing our morning routine. These are a few of the things we’ve been doing to pep ourselves up and will hopefully give you some ideas for entertaining a 6 month old baby, to make what can be a really long day more fun!

(None of these things are groundbreaking - but sometimes we just need a reminder of how to make the everyday moments and tasks a bit more magical)

I know given the gravity of the Covid-19 situation, a blog post like this might seem a little frivolous, (particularly when so many people are in really tough circumstances right now), but given that, for a lot of us, the best thing we can do is stay at home, I figured I would try to spread a little happiness in my own small way, and hopefully help some other mumma’s who might be finding the social distancing/quarantine really challenging.

Last week I was getting up and immediately reading the news, as well as constantly checking it throughout the day whenever I had a spare moment, and while I think it’s super important to remain informed, I realised it was just getting to an unhealthy level. So now I’ve been limiting myself to just checking in a few times a day, and distracting myself with these things.

A New Way to Set Intentions and Create Your Best Life - My Review of Lunar Abundance

January 5, 2019 Lauren Natalia
LunarAbundanceReview1.jpeg

Who else love the fresh start that a new year brings? There’s something so motivating and inspiring about the start of the year and today I wanted to talk to you about a way of setting intentions that you’ll actually be able to keep and continue to practice throughout 2019 (and beyond!) so everything isn’t completely forgotten come February!

Ezzie Spencer, in her book Lunar Abundance teaches a different way of setting intentions to create a life you love - one with more “peace, joy and abundance”.
Rather than setting goals/or a long list of things to achieve, the Lunar Abundance practice that Ezzie created for herself and now shares in her book is about working with the phases of the moon, setting an intention for how you want to feel and embodying that throughout the rest of the moon cycle (which is approximately one month). It involves constantly checking in and readjusting, taking action and resting with the natural ebbs and flow of the moon as it moves through its different phases.

Moon cycles??!! At first I thought this was a little out there for me, but Ezzie’s book is incredibly well written, grounded and practical. The big takeaway essentially is that you’re using the moon as a natural timekeeper, reminding you to stay connected, check in with how you’re feeling and set an intention that you work with and constantly check in with everyday, with the opportunity to refocus and reassess what you need and want to work on every month (not just setting a a bunch of resolutions that are then forgotten by the end of January!)

Looking back on 2018 - The Highlights

December 31, 2018 Lauren Natalia
Looking back on 2018.jpg

2018… it’s been a pretty awesome year…

So it’s 6:39pm on the 31st of December and I’m about to head out to a New Years Even party, but before do, I wanted to do a quick little reflection and round-up of some of the highlights of the year.

2018 has been a pretty big one for me… in the sense that I feel I have actually grown so much.
At the start of the year, my one big intention was to “Be Lauren” and let go of the fear of judgement. While I’m still working on the judgement thing (and I’m sure it will be a lifelong process with that) I feel like I have made huge progress and have been more “me” this year than any other.
A big part of that was meeting some incredible people (through the wonders of the internet) who have been so inspiring and encouraging, and who I feel so lucky to now call friends.

So here’s a quick round up of some the fab times of 2018:
