Today I'm sharing a few books (as well as a magazine) that I've been reading during my wedding planning. There is so much amazing inspiration and information available online, but sometimes the craziness of Pinterest. the constant scrolling through Instagram and the huge array of wedding blogs to choose from can become a little overwhelming. Sometimes you need to step away from the digital world and there is something so nice (and much more relaxing) about holding a physical book in your hands.
These books are absolutely beautiful, but are also filled with well curated information that I found to actually be very helpful in my planning. As well as just making gorgeous coffee table decor ;). While you could get by just fine without them, if you're a book lover like myself, picking up one of these is a real treat and they've definitely inspired me during my planning! (7 weeks to go now!!!)
My Style Diary - A Floral Dress, A Fun Saturday and a Few Wedding Updates
Heya!
It's been a while since I've done a good old "My Style Diary" post, so today I wanted to share an outfit as well as a few fun photos from last weekend.
I'm so excited for the weather to warm up soon and for Spring to properly arrive (I am dying to break out my bright summery clothes!) so last Saturday I thought I'd ease into Spring dressing and pull out this daisy-printed dress. It's an old favourite from Jay Jays that I've had for years, and is such a versatile piece through all seasons. The print isn't crazy bright so it works even when the sun isn't properly shining (I sometimes feel a little weird wearing really bright colours when the sky is still grey and gloomy), it layers well with jumpers, and it's short enough to be worn with over-the-knee boots. Pretty much perfect for those in-between seasons.

Through the whole wedding planning process, I like to think I've been rather chill. Sure I've had a few moments of madness (I'm currently going through an internal battle deciding on whether I really want to fork out - pun intended - extra money for the rose gold cutlery (It's just sooo pretty!!)), but for the most part, I've been pretty relaxed and laid back.
Wedding planning is only as stressful as you make it, and from the very beginning I was determined to have fun with it, always making sure I never lost sight of the bigger picture and what the day is really about.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, I haven't had any big worries or hesitations about this whole "getting married thing" ... except...for one small part of it that's been playing on my mind from the start and that I still haven't quite resolved yet - the question of the name change...

If you’ve spent any time reading wedding blogs or delved into the black hole of Pinterest wedding inspiration, you’ll be familiar with the images of bridesmaid dresses, hung in a row on beautiful personalised hangers. I think these small details add a lovely personal touch to photos, and they also make for a simple, practical gift to give your bridesmaids on the day.
While there are a myriad of these hangers available on Etsy, this was something I knew I could do myself. They were very simple and I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out, so I thought I’d share the process with you.

Today I'm sharing some very special photos that I've been meaning to post for quite some time! Tom and I have been engaged since December 2015 (time really has been flying, I can't believe it's been that long!) and we're getting married in under four months now! (I'm so excited for the day to be here as it feels like it's been a long time coming, but at the same time there's a lot to do still!)
