My Style Diary - White

Hello :)

I've been having a lovely quiet night to myself, and I'm in a really happy mood at the moment. It's probably due to the fact that Monday is over and we're one day closer to seeing Taylor Swift!

I'm so excited about it! Her Speak Now concert last  year was amazing and I'm sure this years won't be a disappointment. I've had Red on repeat on my way to and from work for the past ...lets just say quite a while... (yes I am a huge fan...and not ashamed to admit it!)

Anyway, I wore this dress on the weekend and I really love it (even though it is a little on the short side). The lace detailing is so pretty, and white dresses are just perfect for a hot  summer's day.

I hope you're having a nice night!

My Style Diary - 4 Year Anniversary

Heya :)

I was planning on having an early night tonight, but for some reason I've just been really in the mood to get things done, and now I'm a little too hyped up to sleep. I figured a blog post might relax me, so here we go...

These photos were taken on Tuesday, just before Tom and I went out for dinner to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. In some ways I can't believe it's been four years, but in others it feels like it's been so much longer :)

Anyway, Tom was so sweet, and surprised me with this beautiful rose gold watch from Calvin Klein that I've been eyeing pretty much all year. I've walked into the store so many times (just to look at it), that most of the people working there started to recognise me! It was such a lovely surprise to receive it from Tom, and I think it makes it so much more special as well! So thank you so so so much Tom Tom (not just for the watch... for everything... but you know what I mean).

Moving on... (I don't want this post to become soppy!)

I think this outfit is actually one of my favourites out of everything I've posted this year. It's simple and classic, and the sparkly top adds a special touch. Even though I like getting all dolled up in dresses, I really am a "Jeans and T-shirt" (Ok well, in this case sequinned top) girl at heart. As you can see, I had to wear my new watch straight away, even though I haven't had a chance to adjust the size yet!

I almost forgot to mention my new haircut. I've been meaning to get around to getting it cut for ages, but last Friday I just snapped and decided "I have to get it cut TODAY!" (I was in a bit of a frenzy). I managed to get an appointment on the day at Headstrong Hair Salon in Subiaco, and for anyone living in Perth, I'd definitely recommend them! My hair feels so lovely and bouncy now, and so much healthier. It's amazing how a new haircut can make you feel don't you think? :)

I hope you're enjoying your Friday night. I do feel much more relaxed now, so it's off to bed for me. (I'm such a Grandma!)

Goodnight

My Style Diary - Dreaming of The Shire

Hello :)

As I'm typing this I'm currently in the middle of a Lord of the Rings marathon, involving watching all three movies (extended versions) in one day. At the moment we're about three quarters of the way through the second movie, and it's getting a little tiring.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lord of the Rings, but watching all three in the one day is going to be quite an effort! I've actually only been watching since the middle of the first one, so I'm quite impressed by everyone else's perseverance!

Watching the movies has definitely made me want to go back to New Zealand. I've been a few times before with my family when I was younger, and I remember it being a really beautiful place. I would particularly love to go on one of the

Hobbiton movie set tours

and see all the Hobbit houses!

I really don't have much to say about this outfit today, so I'll just leave you with some pretty pictures of The Shire :)

My Style Diary - Day and Night

Hello hello :)

Let me introduce you to my new favourite top, which I recently picked up from Sportsgirl.

I'd been eyeing it for months, waiting for it to go on sale (the bargain hunter in me wouldn't let me spend $79), so when I saw it the other day for almost 60% off, I pounced!

I love the bright aqua colour, the floral pattern and the soft billowy fabric. Also the fact that it reminds me of when I was younger, and I desperately wanted one of those crop tops that tied in the front. Do you know the style I mean? Anyway,  I never had one of those tops, but this is my "grown up" version.

I wore the bottom outfit out for dinner on Saturday night where I caught up with my best friend from uni, who I hadn't seen in far too long. We had a great night catching up over delicious Japanese and bubble tea. I can't say I miss being at uni, but I do miss our trips to Utopia for Bubble tea (it used to be a verrry frequent occurrence).

Then on Sunday, I just switched the jeans for white shorts and headed to King's Park for a picnic with friends. Very easy! (and lazy of me)

All in all it was a great weekend :)

I'm also happy to say that Monday is over! Yay! I don't know what it is, but it seems that as soon as Monday is done, the whole week just passes by much more pleasantly. Anyone agree with me?

I hope you're having a great night.

Lots of Love

My Style Diary - Red Dress and Cranberry Eyes

Good morning! :)

Firstly, let's just address the fact that yes, my legs are ghostly white, and I desperately need a little sun/fake tan! The other day, my dad actually said to me my legs were so white I looked anaemic! (He meant it in a caring way I'm sure... :p)

Anyway, I wore this out for dinner with Tom the other night. We don't often go out on "dates", so it was fun to have the chance to dress up a little! I love the colour of this dress (even though it does seem to emphasise my ghostliness), and it's one of those dresses that is just easy to throw on, so you can look put together without really trying (as you can probably tell, I'm all about that!)

I had a bit of fun with my makeup that night too, playing around with some new eyeshadows. I usually tend to stick to neutral, more natural looks, but I felt like experimenting, so this is what I came up with! :)

Anyway, have a lovely Sunday!
