Welcome to Cooking With Nonna Episode 3 - How To Make Tortellini (or cappelletti as we call it!)

In today’s video Nonna shows us step-by-step how to make her traditional, homemade tortellini - walking us through what goes into the filling, cutting the pasta into little squares and finally how to tie up the little parcels to turn them into cappelletti ("little hats")

My Nonna and Nonno have been making cappelletti with their friends Nino and Clara for the past 36 years! They all get together and have a little production line going so they can make big batches for all their family. We eat cappelletti (as the first course!) for special occasions like Christmas, Easter and birthdays, and they are so delicious (way better than the tortellini you buy from a store!)

A simple switch of a few accessories can easily take the Little White Dress from day to night (and any occasion in between!) and that’s why it is such a staple, easy to wear and versatile piece that will be a workhorse in your wardrobe!

I have another video today - this time sharing a clothing and accessories haul featuring pieces from some of my favourite brands such as Sportsgirl, Zimmerman and YCL Jewels.

While I still generally subscribe to a "Capsule Wardrobe" approach, I do of course enjoy adding a few new pieces to my wardrobe every now and then and I always try to be really mindful and make sure the pieces I buy are ones I'm going to love for years to come! (Sounds simple, but in today's consumerist world it's easy to convince ourselves we want something only to tire of it within a few weeks!)

It’s time for another “Wardrobe Staples” post, this time talking all about that classic summer piece - a pair of denim shorts.

Like finding the perfect fitting pair of jeans, finding your staple denim shorts can be a little like searching for a needle in a haystack, but today I thought I’d share with you my favourite (and only) pair, why I love them and talk through some of the things I look for when finding the perfect denim shorts.

Obviously there are a tonne of different style to choose from - looser, longer styles, tighter fitted super short ones (not my kinda thing, but hey, if it floats your boat - go for it!), more tailored designs and ones that are distressed with heaps of rips and tears. Dark denim, light denim, acid washed, coloured denim… the options are endless.
Obviously it depends on how you like to dress, your personal style, lifestyle and preferences!

I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found my perfect pair that ticks all the boxes for what I look for - here’s why I love them (maybe it will give you some inspiration when you’re hunting down your own!)
