Today I felt like doing another little apartment update and sharing some photos of our home office/study room before it gets a big makeover and is turned into a nursery for our little bubby who will be arriving later this year!

We live in a two bedroom apartment and this space has been our study for the past 4 years (can’t believe how fast time has flown!). To be honest it is also the room where we hang our laundry and leave the ironing board out most of the time, so it’s not usually this neat or spacious! (Just being real!! #apartmentliving)

Despite the fact that it does become a bit of a storage space, I absolutely love this room because it is so bright because of the beautiful light from the north facing windows. Lots of natural light was such an important thing for me and one of our non-negotiables when we were searching for a place. That’s one of the reasons we fell in love with this apartment - both this room and our bedroom have lovely big north facing windows and it makes such a difference to a space!

I have a bonus post today, finally sharing the vlogs I filmed during the first trimester of pregnancy.

There’s 3 videos spanning from 7-13 weeks sharing my thoughts and chatting about everything from finding out I was pregnant, dealing with those rather awful first trimester symptoms (I was basically nauseous constantly), food cravings, the first ultrasounds and finding out the sex of our baby!

I really didn’t know if I’d end up sharing these when I filmed them, as it is obviously a very personal topic, but watching these kind of videos during the early weeks and hearing the experiences of other ladies who were going through a similar thing helped me so much, so I really wanted to put my own videos out there too!

Hopefully it can help some of you who might be feeling a bit blah (because as exciting and happy as the whole pregnancy experience is, getting through those first few months can be pretty tough!)

If pregnancy topics are not your thing, no worries, there’s another fashion post coming your way in the next few days!! (I had no interest in pregnancy related videos until finding out we were having a baby so I totally get it!!!)

Bump Style - Floral Fit and Flare Dresses

A quick outfit post today sharing one of my old favourite floral dresses. In these photos the bump is looking rather small and non-existant but these pics were taken at 16 weeks and I definitely had a tummy at this point! In fact the day these were taken I was on my way to buy some maternity jeans because my normal pants were no longer fitting at all!

That’s the beauty of fit and flare dresses when it comes to a baby bump! If you want to hide the fact that you’re pregnant for a little longer, they are perfect because the fullness of the skirt skims over the tummy and means no-one needs to know about your little secret until you tell them. I’m planning on doing a post sharing my tips for hiding a baby bump so look out for that if you’re interested!

We’re Having A Baby!!!

Hi friends!

So today’s post is a rather exciting one… we’ve been keeping a secret for the past few months and I’m so excited to finally be able to share that Tom and I will be having a baby in September this year!

This pregnancy announcement is a little delayed considering the fact that I’m already 23 weeks pregnant (over half way!!!) but there were a few reasons we wanted to keep the news quiet and offline for a bit longer….Now though, as you can see from the photos, it’s pretty obvious that I haven’t just eaten too much chocolate and that I do in fact have a rather sizeable baby bump, so I’m super happy to be sharing the news!

6 easy ways to look more put together and polished when you’re getting dressed!

How is it that some people can just look so effortlessly pulled together, even when they’re just wearing a “jeans and t-shirt” kinda outfit (or something equally as simple and casual)?

After a lot of playing around with my wardrobe and reading a tonne of blogs/watching countless hours of fashion youtube videos over the years (they’re my guilty pleasure, I find them SO relaxing and fun!) I finally feel like I’ve cracked the code!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am in NO WAY claiming that I look “effortlessly pulled together” all the time (my friends and family will certainly attest to the fact that sometimes (often really) I look like a total slob. That is fine with me - sometimes you just want to be comfortable and practical!

When I do want to quickly pull together a simple, casual and comfy outfit though, that still looks really stylish and pulled together, these are some of the tips and tricks I like to employ.
