A Personal Post - Flashback to my Hen Party!

Today I have a more personal post to share as I’m feeling a little nostalgic! This year is completely flying by and I realised that today it is exactly one year since my bridesmaids thew the most amazing Hen Party for me (also known as a bachelorette party, for my American friends!)

I didn’t end up sharing the photos here on the blog at the time, so I figured I’d pop them up now and chat through the day, mostly for my own memories but also to hopefully inspire some of you if you have any hen parties to plan in the future! (I’ll be planning one for my bestie next year and I have a lot to live up to, so I know I’ll be trawling through Pinterest and all the blogs for inspiration!!)

My bridesmaids know me well so they knew I wouldn’t want some crazy, out of control hen party with strippers or heaps of alcohol (as I pretty much don’t drink!) so they tailored it so well to the things I love and we had the best night!

Hi friends!

Just a quick outfit post today, but quite an exciting one as these photos were taken while we were in France, in the gorgeous city of Aix-en-Provence!

If you haven’t seen my video or read my travel guide about Aix, I’d recommend checking them out, because it really is a beautiful town and definitely one to add to your travel bucket-list.

Today’s post though is mostly about the outfit! It’s a simple one and not my most exciting, but when it comes to your travel wardrobe, basics are your best friend!

I love wearing neutral colours when I’m travelling - mainly white, navy and pink (yes, pink counts as a neutral for me!) because it makes it so easy to mix and match and create different outfit options and it also makes for better photos as your outfit will always work with your surroundings… I’m a blogger… I think about these things ok? ;)

We’re talking about skincare today and chatting about my recommendations for anyone with dry, sensitive skin.

I’ve read a lot of beauty blogs over the years and although I love reading about people’s fancy skincare routines, when it comes to my own, I keep things super duper simple! As I’m sure anyone with reactive, allergy prone skin will know - less is most certainly more when it comes to what you’re putting on your face, so I try not to overcomplicate things :)

Obviously, everyone’s skin is different and what works for me, may not work for you, but these are products that I’ve really tested out (some I’ve used for years and years!) and I’m pretty confident that if you give them a try, you’ll fall in love with them too!

Five Feel-Good Podcasts to Brighten Your Day

Today I'm sharing five of my favourite feel-good podcasts (sorry, couldn't resist that alliteration!)

I love listening to these ones on my drive to work, and they're particularly good whenever I need a little pick-me-up!

Of course, I love a good crime podcast as much as anyone, but sometimes they do leave me feeling a little bit "icky" if you know what I mean? They're fascinating and really draw you in, but sometimes my brain just needs a little break, and that's when these happy, feel-good, self-development kinda shows come in!

If you haven't got into podcasts you should definitely give them a try - I guarantee you'll fall in love with them because they make everything more enjoyable - from a work commute, to doing chores around the house, to long drives... they are a super easy way to add more fun (and learning!) to your day!
